The Apogee XL is an enthusiast grade flagship CPU water cooling block from Swiftech. Since, Swiftech is already a highly popular name in the water cooling industry, the Apogee XL is a great product indeed.

The block itself is back-lit. The block looks gorgeous and it's bound to attract anyone looking at your rig. A glossy front color plate with Swiftech logo is on the top of the block. The color plates can be easily changed with the four different color plates. The built quality is also really good.
The block comes in four different front plate colors: blue, green, red and white. A transparent version of the block is also available and it's available in yellow instead of white and the remaining three colors can also be found for the transparent edition. Performance as expected, is top notch. It eliminates thermal throttling and decreased temperatures noticeably. The blocks fits in a variety of CPU sockets from Intel and AMD. The supported Intel sockets are LGA 1155 ,1136, 775 and 2011. The supported AMD sockets are 754, 939, 940, AM2/+ , AM3/+ , F, FM1 and FM2. The base plate used on the Apogee XL is made of C110 copper. It has a highly refined matrix with variable width cross channels for improving flow rate without affecting thermal efficiency. The block weighs 238g. The block is connected to the processor through screws on the four sides. Two tubing holes are located on top. Through one water goes and comes out through the other one. The block installation is pretty easy and straight forward. Performance wise, this cooler is excellent with CPU temps substantially lower than most other cooler available. The Apogee XL is a great CPU block considering it's good build quality, outstanding looks and phenomenal performance and it's not that highly priced too. So, anyone who is looking forward to water cooling their PC should keep a close eye on this high performance block from Swiftech.
