The Logitech G700s is a feature packed gaming wireless mouse priced at about $99. The mouse has an excellent ergonomic design. The mouse has 8200 DPI which is useful for high resolution or multi monitor builds. Sensor tracking is accurate across various surfaces.
The mouse is powered by a single double A battery. It can also be connected through a USB port for charging as well as wired use. A tiny USB nano receiver comes with the mouse. Communication between the mouse and the computer is rated at 1000Hz. So, no input lag is noticeable. In gaming, the mouse performs flawlessly.
The mouse is front heavy and there is no weight customization which is a disappointment for a flagship mouse. The battery doesn't need to be installed while plugged in through USB cable. The ergonomics of the mouse is outstanding. The sides are textured which helps to secure the mouse in the hand. The plastic surface on top prevents your hand from sticking on to the body. The button layout is really well. Three programmable buttons are located front left of the mouse which can be manually re-mapped. The programmable buttons are differently shaped so that they do not mix up with each other and they are well differentiated for the user to understand. An infinity scroll switch is available at the back of the scroll wheel. The profile switch is below the infinity scroll wheel. The scroll wheel also supports side clicks which comes in handy while gaming. An LED is indicator is located at the left side of the mouse to indicate which mouse profile you are using. The battery inside the mouse lasts six days with a full charge during moderate use. An on-off switch is located at the bottom which also helps in preserving battery life. The four thumb buttons are very well designed. The driver software for the mouse is very straight forward and intuitive. Every button can be re-mapped including the macro buttons as well. So, the Logitech G700s is a great mouse for gamers and enthusiasts as well.
