The Avior 7000 is an optical gaming mouse from a widely known peripheral manufacturer, Mionix. The Mionix Avior 7000 costs about $79. The mouse has a unique symmetrical ergonomic shape. The mouse fits well in the hand for both left and right handed users.
The soft touch rubber coating on the mouse feels great. Due to the rubber coating, the mouse feels very natural and ergonomic in the hand. The surface of the mouse has four layers of coating which helps in the overall feel of the mouse. The optical sensor on the mouse is outstanding with great tracking accuracy. The monitor comes with 7000 DPI and even then there was no problem with tracking accuracy due to the great optical sensor. As it's an optical sensor, it doesn't track on white surfaces or glass.
The Avior weighs about a 100g.
and has a well balanced weight distribution. The Avior has customizable LED lights. It has two LED lighting zones which are the Mionix logo on the body of the mouse and the one on the scroll wheel. Various LED effects can also be set for the colors. There are 9 programmable buttons on the mouse. The mouse buttons can be re-mapped from within the driver software. Six of the mouse buttons can be programmed as macro buttons. The two buttons behind the scroll wheel are used to adjust the DPI settings. The DPI buttons provide tactile feedback and the presses are precise. The Mionix Avior driver software is easy to use, straight forward and intuitive. It also has many customization capabilities as well. The mouse supports 5 different profiles and the profiles can be set from within the driver software. The profile settings are stored inside the mouse itself rather than the computer which is nice to see since it provides a lot of flexibility when carrying your mouse around and connecting to other computers. The double clicking speed , scroll speed , pointer acceleration etc. can also be manually adjusted from within the driver software. The sensor performance can also be adjusted manually. So, the Mionix Avior 7000 is a very solid mouse with very few sacrifices. It's one of the best mice we've seen from the company yet along with it's brother the Naos 7000.
