Logitech is popularly known for their wide range of gaming and enthusiast grade peripherals. Today, we are going to talk about the G502 Proteus Core which costs about $79 which isn't that high considering it's massive amount of features. The build quality feels solid in the hand with rubberized sides that help in keeping a better grip on the mouse.

The mouse is ergonomically very pleasing. The mouse body is comparatively narrower. So, there is no placing for your ring finger and pinky. A wider mouse would have been better in my opinion but non-the-less the mouse feels exceptionally good and the textured thumb rest is an awesome inclusion.

The mouse weighs about 120g  which can be adjusted. The mouse feet aren't very good and they get peeled off after a heavy use which seriously hampers smooth tracking. The G502 comes with 11 programmable buttons that can be assigned or re-mapped from within the software. The buttons are tactile and they feel really good. The DPI shifter buttons are located at the front left of the mouse and the mouse also has a Blue LED DPI indicator as well. The scroll wheel is also very good and feels ergonomic. The scroll wheel speed can be customized by the button right below the scroll wheel. The profile shifter button is located behind the scroll wheel speed changer button. A purple LED indicates the 3 profiles available and which one you are using. A blue Logitech logo is situated at the rear left of the mouse which is illuminated. The LED light is not customizable. The optical sensor of the mouse is very accurate which allows smooth tracking throughout a variety of surfaces. But the sensor can not track smoothly on white surfaces or glass. Mouse sensitivity is adjustable and can be turned up to 12000 DPI. The mouse comes with a lot of customization features and the driver software is also easy to use and intuitive. It also comes with many gaming specific features as well which helps out in gaming a lot. So, overall the Logitech G502 Proteus core is a good product for gamers as well as professionals but the lack of LED customization, narrow size and the poor quality mouse feet are some sacrifices you'd have to make.
